Book Industry Association (ABIA) General Fiction Book of the Year award for 2022.
I’m honoured to be in such fine company. Thanks to all at publishers Allen & Unwin,
and a huge thanks to the judges!
I might be wrong about this, but I’m told that part of the award is to recognise not just the book (or the author), but all the work that has gone into editing it, producing it, publicising it, marketing it, and selling it! In which case teh team at Allen & Unwin definitely deserve this, even if I don’t!!
This is the fourth year in a row one of my books has been longlisted – I could not be happier!
