Excellent news out of the US! Scrublands has been shortlisted for the best debut novel of 2019 in the prestigious The Strand Magazine Awards.

It’s very pleasing to see Scrublands getting some recognition in America, where it hasn’t had the same impact as in Australia, Britain, New Zealand and Europe. So a massive thanks to the judges and critics who are supporting it.
The Strand was first published in London in the 19th Century before being revived in the US.
