The television version of Scrublands premiered to a wonderful reception in Australia on the streamer STAN on November 16th – and broadcast shortly after in the UK on BBC 4 and iPlayer and in New Zealand.

It’s a wonderful re-imagining of the book, directed by Greg McLean with the script developed under the leadership of Felicity Packard and starring Luke Arnold as Martin, Bella Heathcote as Mandalay and Jay Ryan as Father Byron Swift.
The Guardian gave it four out of five stars – “It’s a rock-solid addition to the rural noir genre, engaging from the start, all the way to a satisfyingly explosive finale.”
Variety called it “remarkable” – “Scrublands is set to be a truly noteworthy and wildly successful country noir series.”
